eham has now decided to charge you to read reviews that your fellow hams wrote for free!
# #The problem I have with this, is if this was the case it should have been done from the start, not after hams wrote articles to build up their site to charge others to read them.
# For the new ham who wants to read about equipment to get started, well if you go to eham, open your wallet and pay for what many of us wrote for free to inform other hams, not make money off of it.
DOES SLICK WILLIE OWN EHAM?
# #As I have found out don't try to post a protest about it on eham it won't be posted to the site, I have tryed.
Another road block on the ham information highway

I must respectfully disagree.
Like QRZ.com, it's a private site. They can do what they want.
And it's reminiscent of Cla$$mate$.com, when 6 months before my 25th high school reunion, right in the middle of my searching for lost classmates, they went to a fee schedule, and I had to pay to continue the search.
But, as a website owner, a message board administrator, and a strong advocate of private boards rights, I reluctantly must say that eham can do anything they want.
And if you don't like it, start your own site.
Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before.

If you would have taken the time to read the fine print on Eham, you would have seen that it's a VOLUNTARY SUBSCRIPTION that they are looking for.

Let me add something here.
If they charged for services that they do is one thing, what burns me is they are charging to view reviews that HAMS wrote for free, to help other Hams.
If they want to charge to advertize or to post articles for sale and the like is one thing you know going into it, but to charge after you write a review or an article in the Elmers forum to help Hams I think its wrong. They want to do that, pay the people for their work and time writting the articles. Some Hams have thousands invested in an education and write very good information.
Its like this, don't give people free parking and then slam a parking meter in the ground after they walk into your store.
