Great new mode. I just had my first JT9 QSO this morning. It's a lot like WSPR but with loggable QSOs with callsign exchange and signal reports.

Mostly designed for top band but it works for the rest of the spectrum as well. Here's a couple links, This is a discussion:

    Here's a download page:

And here's a place to sked and work the mode in real time. Very helpful.

If you're an adventurous ham looking for ways to increase DX and lower power, here's another great mode from Joe Taylor.

Just downloaded it & will give it a try on 160 meters this weekend.

I have been playing around with JT65 & WSPR for the past year now. It's nothing short of incredible what the newer batch of weak signal programs are capable of. Never thought this CW enthusiast would become a software digi operator.............We all know what the original digital mode is, right? :)

    See ya on 160.

This is on my agenda for today (XYL depending of course, lol)

I have many many jt65 contacts with some even on 160 meters using just a 6btv. Can't wait to give this one a spin.

I've been experimenting with JT9-1 for about one week and have made 20 QSO's so far on 160, 80, 60, 40, 30, 20 and 17 meters. I have used 1-5 watts and the mode is fantastic as a weak signal mode. I'm on 12 meters right now.

I am CQing on 12 right now... for some reason, my TS480 decided today it wanted no audio out so i had to reset the microprocessor so i am working on getting all my "set and forget" settings back.. i took the "forget" part too seriously I guess

    Hi,

Great new mode....What frequencies are being used for 160, 80, 40, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 meters. I can find the signals on 30m, but cannot find them on the other bands...Thanks. Jim

I presume JT9 is same or adjacent; just setting the newest version up for the first time myself.

Had a couple contacts on 30 meters, pretty neat mode making it through some atrocious conditions! Being dragged shopping (kicking and screaming) but will play more with this one later.

    Like it so far!
