The value of eHam reviews is that there are a lot of reviews for any piece of equipment... I look at the reviews and sort of take all-encompassing view, if most of the reviews are bad, then I figure the product is either bad, or hard to understand... If most are good then I figure the rig is good to OK. I then look at the item in person, and decide if I want it... Most of the time this works. If one or two shills get in, they don't mess up the average... When I do a review of equipment, I try and temper them to be realistic, removing my bias in that I already own the equipment...
