Yes and no. Documentation says: "Altitude<2,5000m(82,021ft)"

Word of advice. Until you get a handle on using the I/O pins, always connect a 330 ohm resistor between the pin and whatever, so if you accidentally make the pin an output and you have it going direct to +5 or ground, you don't zap it.

There are a couple of video webcasts available at http://oreilly.com/webcasts/index.html about Arduino projects. They're really starting to get into great things now; I'm thinking on making a wireless weather station with one. They're actually pretty capable for such small hardware. Good luck with it!

They are pretty fast. While training a new guy at work we sat down and wrote a program to shuffle a deck of cards. It does it in 25-35 mS, which is way faster than it used to take on an old 8088 PC.

I've gotta find out why mine doesn't work. Maybe RatShack sold me a bum one. But more likely is the Windows 2000 messing with me.

Here is a great write-up on using an Arduino to control a DDS60:

Make sure you are following set up and connection directions exactly. I know nothing of Arduino, but surely there is a power/reset/connect to computer sequence that has to be done correctly to put the µC into bootloader mode.

Arduino handles reset via RTS on the embedded serial port, no special procedure required.

MHZ, I'm no so sure about win2k playing well with USB and the Arduino environment. You have anything running an OS written in the last decade?
Much like Caps Lock, transmitter ALC is not a cruise control for cool. Be kind, don't band splatter on PSK-31 because you like to watch the pretty needle move.
