VW was created during the Third Reich. What's not to like?

CORRECT. In fact, for FCC Commercial broadcast you could build / rework transmitters, and pass proof, at one time -- BUT required inspection and sign-off by FCC Field Engineer.

... any how many of these Want To Be DIY amplifier builders could actually pass FCC build inspections and final licensing of their DIY builds?? Guess some of us could create a memorization guide to pass such a process....

Distribution transformers manufactured by Howard Industries beginning January 1,2010 will comply with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) minimum efficiency requirements as applicable according to the scope of DOE's final rules.
Howard Industries is now offering some of its distribution transformers with super-efficient designs featuring amorphous metal core technology.

ComEd, here locally, are rebuilding / updating the substations in this area due to new Midwest data centers (e.g. Microsoft, others) and O'Hare expansion. We have lived off excess capacity from manufacturing that went overseas and southern US in 1970s / 1980s, infrastructure at capacity and worn out.

Nobody finds it insane that the CL seller thinks he/she is going to get $90 for those amps??? $90??? My jaw just about hit the floor! I would think they would be $5 garage sale specials-- on a good day!

If someone thinks they are going to get $45 each for something that junky, then I am in the wrong business!!!

Maybe I should scoop up all of the $1 CBs I see at yard sales, and start making outrageous claims and market them on eBay and CB websites...

Is there a better bias circuit out there for the stock
    EB-63 from CCI? (2 x MRF 454)
(I have the original unit, not the currently offered "EB-63A".)
Or will the IMD be acceptable if I run it
under 100 watts? I have noway to measure IMD.
Yes, I have low pass filters for it, for harmonics.

    Steve,

You need the engines from the old "SUPER Beetles" if you even hope to get your project off the ground. (Porsche 914 engines would probably tear the wings off.
