Default Callsign change and QRZ page

I am getting a new callsign soon. When I get the new callsign and it shows up in QRZ, will my callsign ONLY change on my QRZ page or will QRZ create a new page?

If you are using the QRZ logbook, BACK IT UP NOW!! With the change in your call, you risk losing the call data. Let us know when you get your new call just so we can make sure all is transferred over to your new call. The system should take care of this automatically.

I'll piggyback on this thread. I signed up here Saturday in the middle of a "ham cram" class and tried out the online tests here to see how I might do, then took and passed the actual test at the end of the class (actually I took and passed all three tests!), and now I'm AK4XL. I suppose a mod here can change my name to my call? If so you can go ahead and do it, I'll figure out to use my call as the login name. Regardless, I've not filled in enough stuff here to lose anything.

US callsign are automatically added to our database through updates from the FCC. You call is not yet in our database but when it is, we can convert your current login to your callsign. When you see your call show up in the database, usually within a couple of days or so, send an email to editor@qrz.com requesting the change.

Actually it is not the preferred method to have your request granted by piggybacking onto another members post. The main reason is that your request can be accidentally overlooked. Since your callsign has not yet been downloaded to the QRZ database we can not change your username until your callsign does appear in the QRZ database. Despite the fact that it may already appear in the FCC ULS you are authorized to use your callsign on the air for the privilages you have earned by the tests that you have passed. Normally it takes 2 to 3 days from the time that your callsign appears in the FCC ULS to the time that it is downloaded to our database we can not change your username until it has been downloaded. I will try to check each day to see if your callsign has been downloaded but I can not guarantee that I will remember. I ask that when you see your callsign in our database that you start an entirely new thread with your callsign and not use the thread that we are posting in right now. At that time we will be more then happy to change your username over to your callsign. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this matter and congratulations on receiving your amateur radio license !

Thank you for the response. I am hoping that my pictures, flag counters remain. I hope that I don't have to start them from scratch.
