That depends on your requirements.

Is DSL available in your area? That will be the cheapest (non dialup) internet access. Most phone companies will do DSL for around $20 a month on top of your phone bill.

If you're looking for speed, cable Internet will be the fastest, at something around $60 a month.

In reality, those are your only two options. Check with your local phone company and your local cable company on prices.
