Ameritron AL-80B Kilowatt HF Amplifier
This original-owner unit is in excellent operational, physical, and cosmetic condition. It does look like new. There have been no operational problems. The 12M/10M option was enabled. The unit was "made in the U.S.A." The unit now deploys a RF Parts Company 3-500ZG-RFP graphite tube in operation for a total of only about 50 hours. This amplifier has never been used for contesting. Its primary use has been for extremely brief sessons on 75-meter traffic nets. Unit has been always located in a clean, non-smoking, temperature controlled, residential environment. Owner-operator is planning to use funds from sale to acquire additional Elecraft QRP/QRO equipment.
The many features of this 160 - 10 meter well-established and proven kilowatt amplifier can be gleaned from the following MFJ-Ameritron Web site:
http://www.ameritron.com/Product.php?productid=AL-80B . Power output is rated 1KW for SSB, 800W for CW, and 500W for RTTY.
This AL-80B is presently jumpered for 230VAC operation. It can be quickly/ easily re-jumpered to operate from a ubiquitous 120VAC power source.
This offer is being made to holders of at least the FCC General Class license who can legally operate kilowatt-output transmitters.
The total price for this unit is $950 when delivered personally by the owner to destinations within a 100-mile radius from Medford, Oregon. The total price-- when delivered outside this zone but within CONUS states--is $1,025. UPS standard ground shipment and insurance, and excellent (and proven) original-sale Ameritron double-box packaging will be deployed for the AL-80B unit per se. The "nearly new" 3-500ZG tube will be sent separately in its original double boxed "fragile-marked" packaging. The form of payment will be a UPS or USPS money order or a bank ("cashiers") check. For deliveries by UPS, a signature confirmation upon delivery will be required. Sorry, no trades or international sales.
