Hi,
Great news that developments are still progressing. What would be nice is however a quick update to us who have financially supported you. A quick email to us to let us know how things are progressing /maybe a sneaky screenshot.
Im not in the US so pretty much out of the loop. the only time I get to see of an update is to either log into QRZ, or visit your page which to be honest isn't great.
I only raise this now as I feel progression is rather pedestrain. About 6 months ago the release was going to be at The Hamvention. A couple of releases ago it was the last version before V6. so what really is happening? These things are complex - we all know this, but just an update on what you are fixing / having issues with would help you guys "bond' better with the punters.
Why not open a twitter account ?

Dan, I do have a twitter account, W4PC, but Erin is setting up a mailing list for paid users at http://forums.hrdsoftwarellc.com/hrdlist/ . She's having to manually put in several thousand emails so if you guys want to go ahead and sign up, go for it. (only paid users)
And yes, things are that complex and alot of the 5.X bugs keep cropping up. And of course, when we fix a 5.x bug, it may have an artifact from the fix.
Simon did 1,000,000 lines of code in 10 years, we've been through about 200,000 of them with fixes... and adding about 200,000 for the new enhancements.

Two suggestions.
1. Don't assume that every time someone posts a problem that it is indeed a problem. A lot of "bugs" are really cases of someone not understanding how to use things, or configuring things wrong.
2. If you "so want the software to work", then do like the rest of us are doing; go get the latest version and use it. If you find a problem, report it and if it really is a problem, it will be fixed.
I can tell you from personal experience that if you are using 5.11, there are a whole bunch of fixes that have already been done that you aren't taking advantage of.
No, the current release isn't perfect. But if everybody sits around and whines about it vs. giving the guys that are trying to fix it some constructive input on what needs fixing, it never will be.
Here's your chance to be part of the solution instead of being part of the problem. Go for the gold....

Many thanks for Reply. Yes quiet appreciate the work your putting in. Will follow and sign up on the mailing list. A thankless task - adding in users to a list.
Take care

Just using random number here, if you already have a 2yr subscription to QRZ ZML does it now go to a 3yr subscription??

Why cant you give us a true rtty fsk com port connection like the other programs afsk doesnt cut it when you have rigs that will do fsk. Afsk kills the filtering built into the rig for RTTY.

Do you have a working link for the new version 6 list of additions ?
Please post it if you do.
I have failed to find it. You could post them here and that would be a great help for many users.
Thank You.
