JT Alert and HRD LOG
I would like to integrate JT Alert with my log book, but as bthere is no manual available for JT Alert, I'm at a loss. Any help would be nice.

The best place for support of any kind related to JT Alert is on the Ham Apps mailing list. This can be found on Yahoo Groups, although you MAY have to go to yahoogroups.com.au to sign up. The group is called Ham Apps (surprise!). There is a lot of great support there and I can't recommend it strongly enough.
That being said, setting JT Alert up for use with HRD Log is simply a matter of clicking a couple of boxes in the Configuration screen in JT Alert.
Start the configuration screen by clicking on Settings, Configuration. go to the Logging section, find the HRD V5 (ODBC DSN) section. Check the box at the top (Enable HRD V5 (ODBC DSN) Logging), go to the bottom and put check marks next to the two boxes under Logging Defaults, and at the bottom choose your logbook name under the Data Source Name pull-down. Hit Apply and you're done.
You can also do the same basic thing under the "HRD V5" section, but the developer recommends the use of the ODBC DSN method as it will be the only method available in the new v2 coming out shortly.
Hope this is of help....and definitely join the Ham Apps list....it is well worth it.

Within JT-Alert, open Settings, then, at least as I have it, select HRD V5 (Access), uncheck the "Mark QSO" buttons, then Select your Log File, which is probably somewhere like:
C:\Users\YOURPROFILENAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Simon Brown, HB9DRV\HRD Logbook\HRD My Logbook.mdb
Also, when in JT65-HF, using the "Log QSO" button will populate your HRD Logbook program with the basic info. Refresh your HRD Logbook, then edit the entry to fill-in-the-blanks.
Here's the JT-Alert (and ham-apps) help group Dave mentioned:
http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/Ham-Apps/
I'll have to review what K3DCW said about using the ODBC choice. During the initial setup, ODBC said "only 32-bit" so I abandoned it and chose Access, and it worked, so I left it there.
