Sprint through a field of live wires — some carrying as much as 10,000 volts of electric shock. Watch out for hay bales and deep mud, or you will face-plant into some electrifying mud. Some Mudders try to stealthily wind their way through the wires without getting shocked, while others barrel forward to get through as quickly as possible. Either way, you are guaranteed to get zapped with as much as 10,000 volts of electricity and it does NOT tickle. This is typically the last obstacle Mudders must overcome before they cross the finish line.

Why not? I like to see people doing stupid things. I love it when people play with bulls and the bull wins.

"America's quiet warriors are the legion of ham radio operators, 700,000 of them, who are always at ready for backup duty in emergencies – amateur, unpaid, uncelebrated, civilian radio operators, during and after floods and fires and tornadoes. After the 9/11 attacks, hams were indispensable in reuniting friends and families. Most recently it was they who expedited the search for debris after the Columbia Explosion , and right now, at this moment, they are involved in homeland security to a greater degree than you would want me to make public."

I would think it'd be more fun wiring-up a checkerboard with high voltage fed to each of its squares and the checkers made of brass. Spectators would risk all by being clobbered by flying, heavy, metal checkers from a shocked contestants as they make their moves.

    Ahhhh, fun with electricity!

If its 10,000 volts why aren't there any dead bodies ? They do a similar thing in the UK during the winter. Blokes with hairy chests run though mud a foot deep, swim in freezing water for about five miles. They say its fantastic !

A modern automobile ignition system can deliver 30,000 to 50,000 volts. I have never heard of coming in contact with one being fatal, but I can tell you from experience that the pads under the hood serve a far better purpose than noise abatement. They make great padding!

I guess it's only rumour because I never heard it first hand either, but supposedly the reason they quit making HEI was too many dead mechanics...

When I was a teen, I was in Mexico City and attended a bull fight... the very first scean that I viewed was the bull winning. The matedor took a horn to the abdomen and was hoisted into the air and thrown a round a bit before he went over the back of the bull. The whole time the bull was spewing blood from its mouth from the swords that had not done their jobs to kill the beast. Apparrently it was, literally, amateur day. Too bad they didn't retire the bull, but instead, a friend of the wounded matedor was given the honor to kill the bull. It finally went down with about 6 swords shoved in it from failed death attempts.

Any way, I've not seen more gore in any sporting event.
