Anyone familiar with the great former american healer Phineas P. Quimby (1802-1866) ?

Everyone should be aware of the great former american healer Phineas P. Quimby (1802-1866), and his accomplishment of bringing many miracle healings, in the USA.

If Quimby's simple research could be duplicated, it would revolutionize every aspect of today's medicine, and bring much more healing to the world.

Quimby demonstrated that all illness is psychosomatic, as Quimby ultimately concentrated only on healing the error thoughts that he determined caused an illness.

People Quimby healed have admittedly formed new religions in the USA using Quimby's teachings, such as Religious Science, Divine Science, and Unity School of Christianity. I think that in the distant past there were other religions similarly formed, but they no longer exist.

Christian Science has a close association with Quimby, but CS does not want to admit it. CS writings seem to be very similar to Quimby's writings, with just a few major words that have similar meanings switched.

There is also more than one type of medicine
Wholeistic
the medicine group that Acupuncture and Acupressure fall into.
Chiropractic medicine..
Herbal medicine
And others which at the present escape me.

The one that we think of as "Medicine Allopatic medicine.

I was going to avoid this thread but here goes. Don't you think that if any of the smoke and mirrors crap actually worked in the real world, we would have abandoned traditional medicine years ago???

Now don't tell me it is a matter of money, if it worked the Doctors could still charge you what ever they wanted too for the treatment. Sue mentioned other types of medicine and I agree that a healthy mind can help in recovery. Some of the alternative methods have been successfully used to treat some symptoms but have never proved to cure anything.

I used to love watching the mystic healers on TV. 50 year old woman walked up on the stage, had been blind and in a wheel chair since birth. The Healer waves an olive branch over her head and yells you are healed. She walks away in tears all the way out into the parking and jumps in her SUV that she drove there in the first place. The they flash the 1-800 number on the screen and yell, send us a check you fools. And they make Millions.

If he was such a great healer why did he only live to be 64 years old????
