The Plymstock Kebab shop is pretty good - thier mixed kebab has the best char grilled marinated lamb I have ever had.

But we try and eat takeaway less than once a week.

I went to Chick-Fil-A yesterday along with other folks that value this people friendly place.
I had a sandwich waffle fries and drink.
I liked it so well, I'll need to go again on Friday.

2 of our local stores were so overwhelmed with bussiness yesterday that they called every person they employed to take care of the crowds. There were long lines all day long with police directing traffic in they were backed up for over a mile.

I was suprised at how many companys bought lunchs for all employees that work for them and those who gave gift coupons when they couldn'r fill any more orders. One company had 600 employees and I saw on the news that over 250 companys were involved in the buying.

But about Chick Fillet. I used to like them, until they got too pricey. My daughter used to work for them back years ago when she was in high school--and thought rather highly of them. Did you know that franchise owners have to pass a "Christian Principles" test and background check before being allowed to buy in? I wonder if all of this makes chicken sandwiches more wholesome???

Now I live in New York. There do not appear to be any Chick Fillet restaurants in this state--and no crafty cows running about creating mischief. I wonder if the cows are spiritual creatures and have solid family values? My daughter is disgusted with them. Not the cows, but Chick Fillet. I wonder if labor law pertains to them? Not the cows here either, but the chicken joint. It's not like this is the Boy Scouts of America where they can claim it's an exclusive organization with imparted membership values and all.

I sure hope that none of those Chick Fillet cows are outed as LGBT. That would be a real shocker...

BTW, does anyone know how often Michael Phelps shaves his underarms?
From what I understand, the owner of Chick-Fil-A was interviewed - and during the interview he was asked about his personal beliefs.

His company hires and serves people irregardless of their personal business - so one must wonder what got the three fascist mayors all worked up.

Because fascist is what they are - in using their office to attack an entire corporation and all of its workers - simply because they do not agree with somebody's personal beliefs.

That doesn't go over, here in the United States - thus the crawdaddy dance by the three mayors, walking back their naked, ugly fascism.

Thus the long lines of people waiting to buy a chicken sandwich.

They are all going to buy and eat their freedom sandwich, and throw that fact right into the faces of the goose-steppers.

Politics? - Not American politics... European, perhaps - from the late 1930's.

On the same day that the Chicago mayor dissed Chick-Fil-A , he crossed town to talk with his new appointee Louis Farrakan - the Muslim cleric who regularly calls for gays to be executed.

The Chick-Fil-A businesses would be denied the right to operate there, according to the mayor, due to "Chicago values".

I think that he owes Chicago an apology on that point. - The folks from Chicago that I know are on the ball, possessing much better character and intelligence than they are being given credit for by their godless, goose-stepper mayor.

I see your bias. By bias I mean who is posting. Favoritism.

WIK posts something about the same subject and its OK, just keep it clean. I post a nearly identical posting (non-political) and you kill it. Could it be because both of you reside in the same state? Just asking.

A burger place that started here in NC called Andy's was recently renamed to Hywy 55. They now have restaurants in many states, and were on the local news last night for going international by opening a franchise in Dubai. It was not their original intent, but they apparently came from obscurity to win some national burger contest, and as a result of that they have been flooded with venture requests from overseas.

    Apparently they make excellent burgers.

"The real world" includes more than just where you are. And more people than just the folks who agree with you.

INB4TL! I didn't participate in the festivities yesterday cuz the closest one was about 35 miles away and my gas tank is almost empty. But I cheered them on nevertheless and went home for my Queasy Dillas. My wife was outta Half&Half, so NO Tapioca Pudding last night! She was tired after working 10 hours at work and then another couple doing the Laundry. So when she came home, she was CRABBY and complained about all the JUNK again. I changed the subject to the cats. They REALLY complained at me at work yesterday, saying I wasn't doing enough. Working 10 hours a day for 8 hours pay isn't enough. I said I did everything asked of me, but that isn't enough either. So today I tried to change out the ballast on a burnt out overhead light. Couldn't get it apart to access the ballast. I don't know HOW they do it. Takes a MASTER ELECTRICIAN to figure out how to take apart these fixtures. So that venture failed. When I was being crabbed at, I didn't take it lying down, and bit back. So I was lucky I wasn't fired, but I am not going to be a wimp, even to the Boss! Then Phoebe bit me when I petted her (as she purred). So that was 24 hours of CRABBING! The ONLY freedom I get is when I finally can sleep and dream.

Anyway, I am cheering on CFA. Despite all the controversy, I have never been through the door of one, but now I gotta go outta my way and buy a chikin sandwich just to show my support to a business that has the HUEVOS to stand up to the MACHINE!
