They want everyone to go digital. I would say that is why they are sending it late.

I don't subscribe to print. It costs me less and I don't have a stack of magazines that I don't read once I'm done with them taking up valuable space.

I really doubt it. They don't even send it out themselves from their NY office. Their printers package it and send it off for distribution. When I was a print sub I never really got any issues late. Maybe once or twice but I usually got it on time. Some people will get the magazine late. That is the reality of bulk mail. Magazines aren't sent first class.

I got my August issue in the mail about 2 weeks ago. I consistently get them a few weeks before the month starts. I'm used to everything taking longer to get up here, so it's kinda refreshing to hear it's the other way around.

No magazine publisher mails from the editorial and/or production office. ARRL does not mail QST from Newington either. Magazines are dropped into the USPS system from the respective magazine's printer's location, and they're not sent bulk mail, rather 2nd class periodical rate.

Five days to submit a log is unrealistic. Looks like I have submitted my last log
to CQ for any contest. I have been getting the digital edition from day one and
I am still trying to download the latest issue. Time to drop CQ completely!
