I noticed that when uploading logbook updates they can process right away but more often don't show up for quite some time if at all.
As there doesn't appear to be any mechanism to check on the status of a recent upload is our only option to keep uploading it? For example if the entries haven't shown up for 4 days. The same files went to LOTW without problem. Is there any rule of thumb here?

Currently, there is no code to check and verify an upload; unsure, but the refresh icon might be used in its place.
Open your logbook and click on the Control Tab.
Click on the “Refresh Page” icon (two circular arrows) near the bottom of the tab items.
Search again for the items you have uploaded.
If they are not there, then the upload likely has been unsuccessful.
However, before uploading the entire batch again and in order to avoid creating duplicates, try to upload a small batch of one or a few QSOs and see if that takes. If so, reload the original batch and check results.
