    Default Recording voice for CQ ing

    I have a icom 746 pro and a PC,what program or freeware do I use to record myself calling CQ and then what do I need to do to send it to the radio.This sure would free up the voice from long CQ ing. Thanks for any help. Don

    Freeware program: Audacity.
    From PC to radio: line-out to mic-in. Use VOX to activate the rig. To be on the safe side: build yourself an sound card interface, but then again, you have a Signalink already, so use that.

    "Long CQing"? It shouldn't take more than 15 seconds to call an effective CQ. Maybe 30 seconds on CW.

    What you're looking for is called a "voice keyer." I could probably direct you to a few, but in this case, Google really is your friend and will give you a ton of links.

    Just search for "Computer Voice Keyer" or "Windows Voice Keyer".

    I use my smart-phone audio recorder.
