New Ham, Cincinnati OH USA, seeks first QSO to test radio on 20m

I'm a very new ham (General Class), and acquired an old Ten Tec Omni C that receives well, hope to test transmit.

I've made a few hesitant calls and CQs but so far no replies; it's possible that the microphone needs adjustment or is wired incorrectly.

The only antenna that I have is a 20m dipole low to the ground for now (need to set up a ground system) and for testing this radio.

I can be available any time of day or night for the next day or so. I don't know anyone locally to ask for help with this and have no other receiver to use for testing.
