On Saturday 21st July The Bushvalley Amateur Radio Club set up a Special Event Station using the Callsign GB0KKM this was about a local lad Kennedy Kane McArthur who won a Gold Medal in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm albeit for South Africa as he had emigrated to there but returned to his birth village in later years
