Rig blaster plug and play, fldigi, and ft 897

Hi all,

I'm trying to set up a rig blaster plug and play, fldigi, and an ft897-not rig control, just the ability to use fldigi through the sound card and the CAT connector on the rig.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not having much luck sorting through the west mountain, fldigi, and yaesu manuals.

If you have the correct interface cabe -- these are meant to be plugged int a rig's data (not CAT) port -- you should then be able to receive as soon as you select the right sound card to drive it and get the levels right. To transmit, you'll need to set up the Hardware PTT; for an FT-450 and 857, mine are as below:

The comm port will depend what your computer assigns to the RigBlaster P&P module when you plug in the USB cable.
