Charles John Williamson was born Oct. 11, 1927 to Henry and Maude (Koele) Williamson, on a farm near Sheldon, Iowa. He died on April 29, 2012 at the Veterans' Home, Barstow, CA, after a long battle with cancer. He served in the Army in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his only sister, Irene (Peggy) Walinga. He leaves to mourn, his only niece, Velma (Pater) Neeley; two grand nieces, Cindy (Charles) Odom and Cheryl (Bill) Harris, a grand nephew, Jeff Langenhorst; several cousins in Iowa; and numerous close friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on June 21, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Barstow Veterans' Home.
