My Condolences.
Anthony Louis D’Ercole, age 79, passed away on July 13, 2012 after a brief illness. Tony resided in Bowdon, Georgia after moving from to Ocklawaha, Florida where he began his retirement. Prior to his retirement, Tony was a 50 year resident of Waldwick, NJ. Born the youngest of Luigi and Anna D’Ercole’s ten children, Tony is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Ginger Blom D’Ercole (http://rememberingginger.com), the love of his life and best friend. He also joins his parents, his brothers, Renata, Raymond, Frederick, and Robert, and his two year old baby sister Yolanda. Tony is survived by his two sons and their wives, Anthony and Annette D’Ercole of Acworth, GA; Stephen and Colleen D’Ercole of Friendswood, TX. Tony is the beloved and cherished grandfather of Ashley and Lindsey D’Ercole of Acworth, GA; Amanda, Bryan and Caitlin D’Ercole of Friendswood, TX. Tony is also survived by his sisters Yolanda Tolisano and Edith Coveney; and brothers Joseph D’Ercole and Silvio D’Ercole, along with numerous other family and friends. Tony was an accomplished stone mason and builder for over 30 years before retiring from a 20 year second career with the Waldwick Board of Education. Tony was an avid Ham Radio Operator known around the world by his call sign WA2JUN, and in 1977 co-founded the 240 DX Group, resulting in many friendships around the world. A gifted marksman, Tony was a NJ State Champion skeet shooter for many years. He spent his most recent years caring for his two horses and beloved dogs, and spending time with his family. Tony will be cremated with a private family memorial service. Tony’s passing has left a great void in the lives of his family and friends around the globe, but may we be comforted in knowing that Tony and Ginger are together again.
