Default K'wd R1000 - Trimmer to calibrate Freq readout?

I've got a Kenwood R-1000 general coverage receiver that works well in all respects, except that the digital display is 2 KHz off. I gotta' believe there's a trim pot or trimmer capacitor I can use to calibrate it to a frequency standard. I do not have an owners or service manual.

Can somebody point me in the direction of where to make that adjustment?

    Many thanks and '73!

Here is a link to the service manual. Alignment procedures start on page 22.

[Edit" Looking over the manual, I believe the short answer is "No, you can't just tweak a trim pot to change the display".
The adjustment and alignment procedures are fairly straightforward as things go, but I would not attempt it without having the right test equipment and understanding the procedure. Can you find some local hams that have well equipped benches?
