I had my Al 572 amp repair now that I got it home I can't get the Radio to activate the Amp and the ALC is connected do you know if something inside the amp can be causing this.... Joe NK4L

The ALC has nothing to do with the amp being "activated". The antenna change over relay must be grounded by the radio. Depending on what radio you have will determine what you use to do this. Check the manual of theradio you have and look at the section dealing with using that radio with an amplfier. The manual will tell you how to connect it to the amplfier to activate it.

I would bring it to the simplest configuration and go from there. Disconnect the ALC. Now put the amp in TX mode by shorting the RLY line. You should hear the TR relay switch and it should amplify when you apply RF.

The question here is if the radio was keying the AMP and all working before you sent it in. If so, it would appear it was not repaired properly or something got changed in your radio to amp control system.
