Default My Good Deed for today

Well, I just got back from a skeeter and man-eating bramble bush infested field helping a new ham install an 80 meter doublet doublet. (I had to double it..... ) Lent him my Johnson Matchbox on a permanent loan basis with the proviso that he actually gets on the air with the thing. Oh yeah..he inherited an HW-101. Pretty clean machine.
So, I get a bronze medal or sumpin.

You'd be welcome in my lifeboat, Eric.

Two years ago I lent a FT-100 to a new general in our club and several of the guys went over and helped him put in and borrowed 6BTV and a few radials and another member came up with some coax. The club vice president lent him a MFJ tuner and he was on the air the next 2 mettings all was going great him making contacts.

Then he missed 2 meetings and some asked about him and one member said he would check on him and tell us next month. Next meeting the report was the guys house was empty and he had been fired from his job and left the area.......BUT we still have not given up by any means I found a IC-718 and bought it for a loaner and still have it after being out on loan 3 times so far.
