Two years ago I lent a FT-100 to a new general in our club and several of the guys went over and helped him put in and borrowed 6BTV and a few radials and another member came up with some coax. The club vice president lent him a MFJ tuner and he was on the air the next 2 mettings all was going great him making contacts.
Then he missed 2 meetings and some asked about him and one member said he would check on him and tell us next month. Next meeting the report was the guys house was empty and he had been fired from his job and left the area.......BUT we still have not given up by any means I found a IC-718 and bought it for a loaner and still have it after being out on loan 3 times so far.
