    Reported by Space Weather . com X-FLARE! Big sunspot AR1520 unleashed an X1.4-class solar flare on July 12th at 1653 UT. Because the sunspot was directly facing Earth at the time of the blast, this is a geoeffective event. Stay tuned for updates about possible CMEs and radio blackouts.

    wwv went out instantly took almost an hour before i could hear them again.. Usually 60 over on 10mhz during the day in Iowa. was totally knocked out.. 40/20/15/10 dead dead.. just now picking back up.. must been a big solar flare hit.. Will stay tuned to this bat channel..

    thank god for QRZ a good place to network... I wish they had a live scrolling board filtered of course for bad language.. But be nice to get reports rom hams live !!!
