I recently purchased a radio from Ron Pabico (KK7RON out of Sparks Nevada). Turns out the radio had a serious issue with the sideband mode that Mr. Pabico didn't tell me about prior to the sale. The radio was priced as a working unit without mention on any such defects.

At this point, I have asked Mr. Pabico for reimbursement on the costs to me to repair the radio since I have sent it to Yaesu for repairs (this week). Prior to sending it in, I asked for a full refund with no response. He will not respond to any of my attempts to contact him. I have since informed him that I would take this to court if he did not cover my costs. In addition, not only are there repairs on the radio, but I also had to send in my amplifier to Ameritron because of this radio issue, as we originally thought it was the amplifier.

I'm out approximately $2200 dollars on the radio, parts, and repairs/shipping, etc...because Ron Pabico KK7RON was not honest in the sale.

Buyer beware.
