Greetings:

I am quite new to PSK31 and would like to locate some suggested settings for the Upper Signal Level & the Signal Range. Presently I have the Upper Signal Level set to -24 (dB) and the Signal Range set to 17 (dB). Is there some standard setting recommendations for these? I set my Computer levels in accordance to those recommended in the PSK31 guide I found in the Online Help Menu but, could not locate information for the Upper Signal Level or the Signal Range. Sometimes the signal pattern on the Waterfall appears very strong but, I am experiencing character loss in the 10 to 20% range. Other Stations claim 90% or better character recovery.
