Well, it's 4 am and the only reason I noticed this was because I was downstairs wondering what the cats were getting all spastic about, and I glanced at the ionosonde. (No, the cats weren't all excited about sporadic E...."Snuffy" just managed to lock himself in the downstairs closet). Anyway....this has been going for at least 3 hours....so it's not very sporadic sporadic E.

Usually this time of the morning if they are doing S-9 it's a good day.....

I'm at work. Tomorrow is the Santee Swapmeet, and then off here to work. Sporadic E usually doesn't help HF that much. It is most beneficial to 6 and 10M, and on a good day, 2M. Time to watch the DX SHERLOCK and see where folks are working on 6. 6 sucked on Field Day.

Not a peep on the higher bands right now. Conditions should be good, but appear to suck. I may have to try the mobile rig in a while to see if my antennas blew down.

The X axis is frequency and the Y axis is reflection height in kilometers. In this case there are SIX visible reflections...meaning very low absorption!
