For sure. When I operated from N6NB's shack in the June and August VHF-UHF contests in 2010, one place the "pack of rovers" parked was in Altadena or so, to the north of my location by about 50 miles. Since my location was only 170' above sea level and where they parked was maybe 1000' or so, this wasn't nearly a line of sight path -- it was obstructed by other ranges of hills over the 50-mile path. On 10.3 GHz, if they all aimed their mobile dishes right at me, I couldn't even hear them.

What a difference. They were all aimed 180 degrees away from me and went from <1uV to >30uV just by taking advantage of the bounce of Mt. Wilson.
Wayne actually predicted that well in advance, and he was absolutely right.
