    Default Latest LOG4OM Released

Download the new release at #http://www.pisto.it/wordpress/log4om-en/

Please take note this release is still a BETA version, but we strongly advise to
upgrade since is fixing a number of issues.

First of all i wish to say THANKS to the new Log4OM Team:

    K7PT, G4POP, W4ELP, IW1AWH and IZ1OQT (in random order)

What's new in Release 1.10.4 Beta

THIS BETA WILL RESET YOUR ACTUAL CONFIGURATION. PLEASE PRINT YOUR CONFIG TO PDF
    FROM SETTINGS FOLDER

    - Omnirig implemented along with Hamlib as options for rig control. Omnirig
should be downloaded and installed from http://www.dxatlas.com

    - Imported frequencies being interpreted incorrectly and rounded up are now
    fixed.

    - Now log4om retains grid configurations (e.g. Recent QSO) also after a
    reinstall (new _user files added)

    - Grey line maps optimized

    - Improved Settings window closing speed

    - Added Digital mode filter button for DXcluster

    - Faster program startup

    - Worked callsign lookup window for previous QSO is now resizable

    - Some system log enhancements (even more events are logged now)

    - Fixed an issue with Omnirig when the frequency selected goes over the Int32
    size of .NET environment.

Unfortunately Omnirig accepts frequency in Hertz and frequencies in the range of
10 Gb (even less) are, in Hertz, bigger than the maximum Int32 value.

And Omnirig accepts only integers. This is an Omnirig limitation that we need to
    deal with

    - Added help in English

    - In Settings/Settings the text on the visualization buttons now match the tab
    titles of the logbook

    - Band plans revised and now include CW, Digital and SSB

This program just gets better and better. OmniRig support is way better for my ICOM 7410 than HamLib was.

Keep up the good work and thanks.

Tried it today. I like the simplicity of it but I guess I need to get used to not being able to see all my log entries when I scroll but then again 1979 log entries are just that .. Done and over with. It tracked my awards fine and show all my countries for DXCC mixed Honor roll !. I was surprised it took my DxBase .adi file with minimal problems as its old adi stuff now. I guess I could have done an adi from HRD and tried it also and I still can.
Keep up the good work and don't complicate it and you have a winner !

    Hi Dave,

Loads of nice new features to come but we are concentrating on keeping it bug free from one release to the next, interestingly our bug list only has eight confirmed issues and I think two of those were resolved today!

Since the release yesterday we now have it interfacing very well with the VE7CC CC User software so the ultimate cluster filtering is available to our users and the program also works with PstRotator which covers a wide range of Azimuth and elevation rotators.

The HRD ADIF is fine except for any DXCC award submissions or Award credits, QSL summission and receipt is fine, this is due to the difference in coding. However we will add a conversion input routine especially to cope with HRD.

Keep an eye on LOG4OM it will be improving daily!

quite nice. It works fine with my FT-840s now. I added omnirig to it. I love the simplicity and how clean it looks. Well done.

I sent a rough translation of the manual in MS Word ".doc" and OpenOffice ".odt" in English to Daniel today.

There are still some words and grammar that need help.

Sorry to say, I have 150 000 QSO's and this program simply can't handle
so much contacts. The import from ADIF takes 30 minutes.
    Statistic just hangs computer.

    Regards...

    S51DX,
Did you try using a MySql database because 150,000 QSO's is probably too much for SQLite, please contact me direct because it would be good to see exactly what is happening with such a giant database.

I have a database of 25,000 QSO' s and loading them from an HRD ADIF takes very little time what program do your QSO's come from?
