Formatting problem....

Howdy from the Friendly Giant at the Radio Ranch!

I've got an on-going Opportunity to Learn here. When I'm typing and use the
BOLD, Italic, or Underline and whatever combo is running, when I click on that
button to stop using those boxes, especially the Italics, it 'hangs up' stays in
that same mode. It refuses to go back to the 'normal' formatting.

It is me?, my computer, or QRZ?

Sometimes I get odd behavior when formatting a message. One thing that helps is to type your message first and then go back and format it. Just use to the mouse to click-drag-highlight a selection and then press the desired format button. If you mess up, press control-z to undo.

Another thing you can do is directly input or edit the BB Codes. When you create a message, there's a link towards the bottom that shows you all the BB codes. Here's an example:

[b]This is bold[/b]. [i]This is italic[/i]. [u]This is underlined[/u]. [color=red]This is red[/color].

This is bold. This is italic. This is underlined. This is red.

When you press the format buttons, it is actually just putting in the BB Codes for you. When you create a message, the very first button on the toolbar (upper left) allows you to switch to "source mode". In source mode, you can see and edit the BB Codes directly. This is a very precise way to format your message.
