What's next? Asking everyone who walks into a grade school for $5 to cover the cost of prosecuting pedophiles?
That would be plausible only if attending strip clubs were compulsory. Hmm.

Once again the poor are disenfranchised.

They'll need to offset the tax with "boobystamps".
It would also be useful to require full-Braille pasties for the blind.

What's being voted upon is which "poll" you like:

A Pole tax in Houston ! So the plumbers of Poland have now emigrated to Texas. Oh, wrong poles, its a poll tax ! This is rather naughty of the authorities, they are making an unspoken suggestion that any man who visits a strip club is going to leave the premises fired up with sexual desire and molest any woman he sees for his sexual gratification. And the authorities
require payment for any tests they may make on a victim.

Well I suppose if you are so desperate to see a fat bird writhing round a pole to loud music while supping cold beer at four dollars a glass, $5 is neither here nor there

Rape is a crime motivated by anger or hatred of women. It has absolutely nothing to do with a hypertensive sex drive.

"America's quiet warriors are the legion of ham radio operators, 700,000 of them, who are always at ready for backup duty in emergencies – amateur, unpaid, uncelebrated, civilian radio operators, during and after floods and fires and tornadoes. After the 9/11 attacks, hams were indispensable in reuniting friends and families. Most recently it was they who expedited the search for debris after the Columbia Explosion , and right now, at this moment, they are involved in homeland security to a greater degree than you would want me to make public."
