NZ9Y Mark A. Limbeck

Over the years I’ve seen all types of equipment sold on QRZ,QTH and eHam. Occasionally I have excess to my needs and tryto sell whatever on one or all three sites. Every once in a while you get a guy with his panties in just a bit of a twist.So is the case with NZ9Y, Mark A.Limbeck from Lakeville,MN.
I had some extra antennas and accsys. and one of them was a Mosley 40 Meter add on for a TA-33-M ( QRZ add # -347900-TriBanders ). I advertised it as “still shiny” Mark seemed to think it said “like new”. He may need to learn to read again. I even gave him my phone # so we could discussthe Kit and shipping. He called twice to understand the condition of the kit. He knew there were some mounting parts missing,and said that was” ok” because he had “other” plans. ( See Below)

I get it. Its just the bracket and saddles that hold an upper mast for support. No big deal as my mast extends past the beamanyway.
So we agreed on shipping and I packaged it all up. To save on length I slid the element extensions,swedged adaptors, etc. inside the traps. A package total length of 48”. The next e-mail I get ,this guy is freakin’ about all the parts missing! Then a few minuites later yet another e-mail telling me that he may have been a little hasty inhis search for parts ,OOOPS...they’re all indside! Imagine that. ( my e-mail below )
Mark, the reason you couldn't find the missing pieces was because I pushed them inside the trap element section to save on shipping.In our phone conversation I told you what was missing: the angle mount for the guy support,the SS u-bolts AND the blocks. You said it didn't matter because you had something else in mind............
What I didn’t know was that Mark had already posted his deragatory remarks on June 5,2012, before he ever contacted me again.That’s pretty low since he sent an e-mail on June 18 asking “ whereare we on this”.What a piece of work! He had hernia surgery about june 6th and waits ‘till the 18th? So my response on June 19th was :
Haven't heard from you so I figured you got a couple pieces of tubing locally. If you didn't ,what are you thinking?
Mark never answered so I,m the bad guy? This is the reason guys and nope myself, are shy about selling anything on the internet. Some of these guys want NEW equiptment for used pricing. You tell them it’s used and that’s ok until they unpack it.Then they piss and moan like a little girl! So here’s to Mark Limbeck,NZ9Y. Mark paid $150.00 for a $329.00 Mosley add on.He needed two $4.85 pieces of tubing that I would have gladly helped him with but nooooooooo, Markwhined like a little girl and wrote a derogatory post , ooooh how proud he must be of himself! So in the words of Paul Harvey,”now you know the rest of the story”

I suppose we all are required to “follow up” on our posts or at least that’s what NZ9Y, Mark A Limbeck would have you believe. This back and forth could go on and on but I think it’s pettyand childish. Although,when someone slaps you in front of the class you need to slap him back to straighten things out.
Mark has a problem with the truth,the “whole truth”. So he intentionally lies or is a liar by omission. I’m not certain of his agenda.
I sold Mark a TK-40-KR Kit that was used but in excellent condition,so slightly used that it was “still shiny”. Not new but shiny like barely used aluminumis,not dull and gray but yet still shiny.For some unknown he is stuck on this.Everyone that saw the kit remarked that it’s still shiny and it was.
My problem with Mark is his sneakiness.He posted his whiny remarks the same day he got the kit,6/5/12 at 5:58 pm. He didn’t even give me a chance to resolve the issue before he slams me in public. That’s just wrong.H e just “wanted everyone to know”. What a jerk! So when I bring the truth back to him and out him as a liar and a jerk ,he does it again.
He claims he had to recover for 2 weeks and then e-mailed me to find out “where we were on this. That is true except he forgot to mention he felt good enough the same day as his surgery to call Mosley and e-mail me about the missing pieces that I admitted were a mistake on my part. See below:

Hernia fixed, loafing on the couch. I got the length from Mosley. 5/8"od, .035 wall, 59" long.

I informed him that DX Engeneering had said tubing and the cost. I never inferred anything,Mark reached his conclusionson his own. The fact is that my responce to his e-mail of 6/19 was “what are you thinking?” Like what do you want to do or what do you want me to do etc. Why did I need to explain that? See below:

Yeah, I saved all the e-mails rec. & sent.Mark has never been in contact since other than to practice his smear tactics in in front of the Ham world. I’m just a guy like all the rest of you out there.I don’t have a business or make a living selling gear,then a guy come along,buys a piece of used gear at less than 50% of new and whines because it’s not new. We all makes mistakes with the equipment we sell. I’ve seen on both ends now.I would have made the situation right with Mark had he continued to communicate. Had he told me he had gotten the tubing locally, I would refunded a portion of his purchase price. But Nooooooooo,Not Mark. If you read his bio on QRZ you’ll see how persecuted he is and that makes me wonder,why would anyone do that to such a conscientious and caring Ham?
In conclusion, beware,well aware of dealing with Mark A Limbeck. I made an error like many other of you have and this whiner will smear you forever. Seems he wants the “last word” or smear. Mark, MAN UP,you went about this all wrong,I’m sure your comments and half truths have endeared you to all the Ham Community. I made a mistake and openly admit it! I also never got the chance to correct it!

One final thought on the Mark A Limbeck..NZ9Y issue. Mark bought a TK-40-R kit from me thayt I had purchased USED but still shiny from lack of use.I never got to install the kit so was unaware the "tips-59" long were missing.I han never closely read the instructions since I wasn't going to install the kit.Mark only paid $150.00 for a $329.00 kit. Let's see.....thats about ...yep, $179.00 savings over a NEW one. Once I discovered the missing parts I checked with Mosley and found we only needed 2 x 5/8 tubing at 59" long. Actually I have some left over tubing that I would've sent had Mark had he continued to communicate with me but Mark chose to use this forum as a means to whine and cry about 2 pieces of tubing that almost any Ham has or knows someone who does.
Mark is a whiner and deceitfull individual that hasn't got the gonads to e-mail ME about his continued problems.Instead he cries to all the Hams who in all reality don't give a flyin' crap about any of this. So, for what I hope is the last time, Mark, I made a mistake,you never gave me a chance to correct it before starting your posts! Do you seriously believe that your snively little rants would or will intimidate me or any other Ham you deal with? Please! You've got your kit,you saved a whopping $179.00,you've got your tubing from??, you've posted here three times,what else do you want??? Life is too short to keep arguing with someone with absolutely no common sense.
