I searched for KC0W after I read some posts here so I could determine if I could hear him on my dummy load and to do a comparison vid of the other big signal, but I couldnt find him on the band.

I second that forty DB over S-9 here.

Nice to work U in the FD!!! I remember talking to U about your setup and how U were running QRP. U had a MAGNIFICENT signal for QRP!!! Congrats on a great station and setup! Nice to meet U on the air! (U said U could hear me on your dummy load!)

Interesting. I'd have traded 10 W6's for one New England station. I think we had clean sweeped the CA sections in the first 30 minutes or so. I kept wondering if everyone in California was on the air and running a kilowatt for FD (lots of 1Ds).
From the Rockies we struggled a bit getting East Coast stations (a large mountain just to the East of our site probably didn't help), but W3AO was coming though very nicely with one of their 27(!!!) stations. I'd love to get details on this - we had problems with our 3 SSB stations interfering with each other.

We had no problem working all New England sections on CW. With only 100 watts and dipoles too!

I found most 1s, 2s and 3s very weak (except for Neil!) and buried under all the Zeros and Fives. It took great skill to dig the East Coast out of the QRM. Maybe that is why I missed Delaware. I bet KC3AM called me a hundred times and just couldn't get over the massive pileups of midwest stations. We definitely had a pipeline to the Rockies and midwest. Very poor prop to the East Coast!
Only a handful of 1s, 2s and 3s were worked.

next time call him on the dummy load first.

I had to call him to let him know, and he answered my QRP signal on the first call, despite the pile up calling him. Check it out... then share your BIG SIGNAL encounter.

I remember working W6KH during field day, but mine was on 40 M. He did have a good signal, though.
