With a record of ten radio clubs active for Field Day 2012 in the island of Puerto Rico, all four cardinal points of the island are covered for this event. The following clubs are:


1- The Puerto Rico Field Day Groupo (PRFDG) with the Movimiento Radioaficionados de Puerto Rico (MRPR), in the Sport Complex Luis Osvaldo Reyes in Cataño. KP4FD

2- The Puerto ico Amateur Radio League (PRARL) in the Luis Muñoz Rivera Park in Old San Juan. KP4ES

3- The Cuerpo Radio Aficionados Voluntarios (CRPR) in the Los Tubos Recreative Beach in Manatí. WP4OGK

4- The Puerto Rico Amateur Radio Operators (PRARO) in the Edgar Martinez Sport Complex in Dorado. NP3PR

5- The Western Amateur Radio Club (WARD) in the CB REACT Team installations in the Llavat Urbanization, Brazil Street in Mayagúez. NP3M

6- The Federación de Radio Aficionados de PR (FRAPR) in Surfing Beach, on the Bohios area of Barrio Pozuelo in Guayama. KP4FRA

7- The Caribbean Amateur Radio Group (CARG) from the Bohios in the Recreative Pasive Park of Barrio Capaez in Hatillo. WP4CRG

8-The Fajardo DX Club in the First Baptist Church in Fajardo. KP4DXC

9- The Radio Operadores Del Este (RODE) from the Ceiba EOC in the Roosvelt Roads Base in Ceiba. KP3RE

10- The Bayman Radio Club in the Municipal EOC in Toa Alta. KP4NM

So as you can see, local clubs have taken this exercise seriously as a way to dempstrate what can Amateur Radio do for the community during an emergency, there is no excuse so to say if someone wants to learn about what is Amateur Radio and how to obtain a license to be a Ham. There will aslo be an activation from our friends in Saint Croix, USVI as NP2VI and even a station in Columbia will be activated as 5K3W.
