Default I need some assistance with a radio, says Micom 2es

I cannot find anything on this radio. I am told it is a transceiver but cant find where a mic goes. There must be somebody that knows about this radio.Help?

Looks like Mobat has been acquired by Elbit, so their website is in transition:

I'm familiar with the 2ES but it didn't look like your picture. It's smaller and more modern looking.

I wonder if what you have is pre-release (prototype or Beta unit?) or an earlier production model I've never seen. The later 2ES has a black panel and a mike jack on the front panel.

Look on the back panel. Although I am not familiar with that particular 2ES model, the earlier versions had all the input/output connections through a "D" connector on the back panel.

So far I haven't located anything that looks like the radio in your picture. All the Micom 2ES units I have found so far look nothing like what you have posted.
I have a bad feeling. There are no front panel indicators that reflect any transmit capability. I'm wondering if this unit has the 25 or 44 pin connector in the back? Could you post a pix of the rear of the unit? Could you also remove the tag on the front panel that has the Micom 2ES printed on it?
I'm still searching for anything that I can find on this type of unit.
Perhaps it's true that you got a prototype.
Maybe the folks on the Yahoo forum group can help; http://groups.yahoo.com/group/motorola_micom/.
Worth a try and it certainly won't hurt.
