Default Bulk purchase of amphenol crimp connector components

    Hello,

I'm using Amphenol 031-320-RFX crimp BNC connectors to make patch cables. Making an error crimping the center pin leaves me with two left over pieces. Does anyone know where the individual parts, particularly the center pin, can be bought in bulk?

    Thanks,

I have never seen the "bits and pieces" sold separately.
Here's a link to their reps. in New York. They might be able to help.

I have several hundred such connectors w/o the center pins. I have sent at least four messages to Amphenol asking to buy just the center pins. NO REPLIES! So much for customer service.

If you find some please let me know.

Golly, the entire connector is $1.63 each retail, in "quantity 1."

Joel at The RF Connection has them for $1.35/each in "quantity 1."

How much do we think the pin is worth?

    Hello,

I received a response from Amphenol re. buying center pins in bulk.

    "it's not possible ..."

So unless you have a friend at the plant you're out of luck :-(

I can't really blame them, the whole connector retails for just over a dollar. I suspect their wholesale cost to their dealers is in the $0.70/ea range.

How much could they sell just the pin for? Five cents? Not worth it, in any quantity.

I'm not surprised, but at least you got a reply. They didn't even reply to my several enquiries.
