Default New Trread "There Autta Be A Law"

I'm going to start a thread. First time. Hope it doesn't hurt too much.

I think we have WAY too many laws, but sometimes there are just some sins that need correcting.

So what things do you think need a new law to be corrected?

I'll start: There autta be a law that those who design packages MUST have to open 100 of them before foisting
the design onto the general public.

There ought to be a law...

...against people who drive at the legal speed limit.

...food ads that don't show what the food/dish/meal really looks like.

...that forces parity between the hot dog roll makers and the hot dog packagers.

Jumbo hot dogs come 8 to a pack. Regular hot dogs come 10 to a pack, both are for 1 lb. packages. So just buy jumbos and don't worry about the math.

Or, in honor of the long-ago comic strip of the same name, this thread's title should be reduced to "TOBAL".

I think there should be a law permitting alec without the smart.

There should be a law that permits you to travel faster than the posted speed limit IF both the traffic in front of you is going faster than the posted speed limit (within reason and not like 90 in a 65 zone), or while passing a car driving slightly lower than the posted speed limit such as passing vehicles doing 55 to 64 in a 65 zone. The first one would allow you to be safer by legallizing common sense (don't go slower than traffic) and allowing you to clear the passing lane quicker and return to the travel lane.

I sometimes want laws for, not against. like yesterday: 3 brain deads having a conversation in a certain well known local convenience store. at the intersection of 3 aisles. nobody can get in or out of the store, or to the cash register or bathroom, because these people had to talk for 5 minutes about a sports event that ended yesterday.

in a civilized world, my vast self would be allowed to apply boot to butt, knock one or more of these fools horizontal and tread across their prone forms to get to where I need to be. under the Late Life Lesson In Manners doctrine. if you refuse to learn manners the easy way in grade school, you should get them the hard way on the streets.

your failure to comprehend does not compel me to explain.

Wise people talk because they have something to say. Fools talk because they have to say something.

Expect to get half of what you earn, a quarter of what is your due, and none of what you have lent, and you will be near the mark.
