Citizen journalism is the very root of the fourth estate, it was here long before organized and corporate media, it will be here long after after the corporate media has become history. Lets hope that ladder day doesn't come because the corporate media will go out kicking and screaming and not without attempts to enact laws by it's handlers to keep the big lies and spin they produce going.

So while looking for more information for a future post I found this.
Before you discount this video based on it's source many of the clips in this short peace can be found on the Internet and more precisely on YouTube.

A government that works to suppress citizen journalists is not a government any of us would really want to live with.

Sorry to hear that because it's a good peace.

In a nutshell the peace is about how citizen journalists in the US are abused by police and how the whole alternative media is growing due to distrust in the media monopoly we currently have in the world.

Too many people in this country automatically think Russian media always lies and American or Euro-media always tells the truth, when that simply isn't the case.
RT was covering Operation Fast and Furious long before the American media admitted it even existed.

Just because someone claims their reporting is fair & balanced doesn't make it so.

You can bet this election season with all of the special interest money 'free speech' floating around that political operatives are being paid to blog, post, and comment what their masters pay them to propagandize for.

There also are, & always will be, many home grown Kooks & Nuts who consider themselves independant after drinking any media Kool-Aid.

Too bad politicians, reporters, & voters aren't required to pass mental evaluations to expose conscious & unconscious biases and delusions.

Psychologists have already identified the ingrained unconscious social biases between both progressives & conservative personalities.

I watch RT quite often on Roku. I'm no judge of reporting quality but it seems pretty good. I can't help wondering if they have a bit of a bias in terms of the topics they choose to report on. They seem to have plenty of items about how bad things are in the USA. Even if their reporting is good, it does seem a little ironic considering the amount of corruption and other problems in Russia. Maybe it's just the times I watch but I haven't seen much criticism of President / Prime Minister / President Putin and his buddies.

Here's a question. Since you seem to like RT, does that mean you approve of government owned, tax payer funded broadcasting?

It seems that all sources of news have taken one of the precepts of propaganda to heart , and that's all there is -
" If you can not hide the truth , mix it so many lies , nobody will ever figure it out ."
Then it seems everyone is so buggered , that no matter what you say , a bunch of people will come out and crap on anything said .
A perfect environment for manipulating the masses .
