Robert Lee Ueland Sr. 61, of Prineville passed away May 29, 2009.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on June 6, 2009 at 5:00 P.M.
Robert was born July 6, 1947 in Toledo, Oregon to Melvin and Betty (Stockup) Ueland. He attended Bend High School and received an Associate’s degree in Electronics in Portland, Oregon. He then worked for Diamond Electronic in Bend, owned Leathers gas station in Prineville and opened Ochocolok in Prineville, He retired in 2000 due to illness.
He enlisted in the US Army in 1966 and served from 1966 to 1969 during the Viet Nam Era.
Robert married Mary Timmerman in Payette, Idaho on October 15, 1966.
His hobbies included: gold panning, fly fishing, traveling, going to the Hot Springs, working on computers and most of all spending time with his wife, children and grand children.
Robert found the Lord in 1968 and attended Lacamas Heights Baptist Church in Camas, WA. He later moved to Bend, Ore. and helped start Jones Road Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for a period of time. After moving to Prineville, He became a member of Calvary Baptist Church and he was also a member of the Hamm Radio Operators of America.
Robert is survived by his wife Mary of Prineville, Ore., daughter Tina Dofelmier of Prineville, Ore., son
Robert Lee Ueland Jr. of Washington, sister Roseanne Hall of Oregon City, Ore., sister Reylellen Stillings of Madras,Ore., sister Bobbi Jo Cotter of Omak, Wa. and four grand children.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
