Don , thanks , its seems to be getting hard to find good sources to learn from .
And I'm old enough to see lots of surplus places go by the wayside , and me without enough space to collect up all the goodies I see getting scrapped
At least I know another ham that does scrapping , and I help with free labor and get some goodies now & then .

Some of the designs required a separate function generator , as I remember going through some on the finds on the net ?

Yes the function generator is very nice, and you could build one into yours.

Most will test at 60 Hz but sometimes you may want to vary the frequency.

You can do more with it and check Frequency response of devices as well.

Here is one that you can build if it has the frequency range that you need,

    Sorry Tom.

    My fingers got twisted.

I hate this auto correction that these solid state computers have.

It was assumed that yours would be better than most anyway.

I hope your day gets better.

The old TEK 575 can be found for $50 or less in operating condition and the 576 isnt very pricey if you intend using it often.
Leader and others offer low priced alternatives.

    I use my 575 often.

I have used a Tektronix 575 for years and it works very well.

That would be a excellent find for $50, or even $100 if it really worked.

I guess building is funner sometimes.

Mine was about $40 on Fleabay a few years ago and the seller was 40 miles away so I drove over. The plan was to modify as a tube tracer but never got around to it. Its also the version with the factory upgrades but forgot the details, its stamped into the front panel.

Old tube type analog scopes and such are being trashed at a rapid rate and are often freebies. Very few want a 500W+ heater.
