Mr Wizard and Prof Sumner-Miller asked a lot of thier viewers, and in return, the viewers got a lot out of it. The great thing was that "Why Is It So?" was watched my a LOT of children in Australia in the 60s and 70s, and a fair percentage I reckon became scientists and engineers, or had science based careers.

Thanks, yeah I was a HUGE fan of Voyage to the bottom of the sea, but yep it was Stingray I was referring to and Marina was a babe...
I also forgot to mention Johnny Quest, there was a cool cartoon, SIM SIM SALABIM, quoting Hadjii....

The Puget Sound area lost JP Patches about a week ago. http://jppatches.com/
This was reported to be the longest-running locally-produced TV show ever. My wife grew up in this area and was one of the original "Patches Pals". Both of our kids were regular watchers.
