Default Can't identify mistake in posting ad that keeps my for sale item from showing up

So earlier this week I posted an ad to sell my FT-897. After I posted the ad I did a search. My ad didn't show up in the search, but even when I copy my title and use it as a search definition, my ad does not show up. Others have replicated the problem too. However, if you search on my call, it does show up. I'm assuming its an error in the title, but I can't figure out what happened. Does anyone have an idea of what I did wrong?

    Here's the ad link: http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php...nd-accessories

I'm frustrated and feeling dumb. I appreciate any thoughts and particularly any ideas on how to fix it or prevent it from happening again if I simply have to post a new ad.

I should add that I used the search string "FT-897D" in addition to the search string "Yaesu FT-897D and accessories". Neither returned my ad as part of the results.

I can't explain why words in the title are not coming up in the search. However, there's a typo in the body of your post. You posts says "FT-798D" instead of "FT-897D". If I do a search for "798D", your post comes up.

Thanks a bunch! At least that's one clue. I read the post several times before I finalized it. And even more after it wouldn't show up on searches. I guess that's one of those typos that you never see. lol.

    Thanks again!

It is funny how computers do what you tell them.

There does seem to be something in the QRZ website search that does not work as well as Google search.

If you use Google search it yields better results for some reason.

Another thing to keep in mind is that there is a four character minimum required for QRZ's searches. As such, searching for "897" returns nothing. Also, searching for "FT-897" returns nothing. I think QRZ interprets that as a search for FT and 897. Neither search term meets the four letter requirement. Putting the search term in double quotes doesn't help either. Searching for "897D" will show results.
