Thanks for stopping by, I obtained my NOVICE just before Christmas 1989. I received my 1st Callsign, in "ONLY" 27 days.I could NOT stand it, KB2GZR.

I UPGRADED a week later, and requested a new callsign and recieved my present callsign N2JBO "Just Being Obnoxious" nice phonetics, huh .

Kind of catchy, huh ? I spent a year as a TECHNICIAN, Ugraded to GENERAL, then went for the ADAVNCED.

I got that one out of the way, I finally UPGRADED to Extra, back in 2000. I made 13 contacts on CW, and NEVER looked back.

Everything was fine until 2008, when I had a STROKE. I DIED, was in a coma for 3 months and they brought me back. then had to leave "ELANOR" my 1995 Harley Davidson FLSTC in storage. LastOctober, I put her in the shop. I am paralyzed in my left leg, so, no more toe shifting. Ihada "PINGEL" Electric Shifter installed. I can't wait to get back on the bike. My station now consists of a Yaesu FT-897D running 30 watts on PSK31 into my Cushcraft R-5. I have a Home Brew AMD 6 Core. Operating System is Windows 7 (64BIT). Interface is a SignaLink USB. I use FLdigi Software for the BPSK-31 on 10 through 20 meters,
lots of fun but, that sound is nerve racking. Hi Hi. When I get on SSB I only run 100 watts. So, if you hear me on the band, just jump in and say, HELLO. "The Best of 73 from Wappinger Falls, N.Y." 60 miles North of New York City.

Wow, I wonder if he and I were at the same test session so many years ago. I was living in New Paltz at the time, not too far from Wappingers at all.

    RIP brother Ham.
