Default two meter squalo antenna help

I need some help to repair a two meeter squalo antenna .
this is the square type with a rod type gamma match and the small cap at the end where mounted has broken .
i don't know nor can i find any information on the size needed to replace.
the cap is very small about three eights of an inch in dia.and was potted at the mount.
any help would be most welcome thanks to all in advance. Frank ka4dsk

It's the same "Redi-Match" (gamma match) as used on the current model Cushcraft A147-11 and other two meter CC antennas. You can buy a replacement from them.

    Default two meter squalo help

thanks steve for quick reply.I looked up the cush craft parts as suggested and they do not look the same as used on the squalo .the squalo has a
small capacitor that is potted on the end of the rod .the connection on the one i have is broken where the connection was made to the rod. the parts for the cush craft units have a plastic sleeve or tube and do not show any small attched capacitor?

That's exactly why I don't use one. Instead I use M-Squared's versions. I have a 6 meter one that has about 100,000 miles on it. It's still going strong, but I have had to fix the brace a couple of times. The 2 meter, and 70 cm loops don't have the brace.

I can tell you the loop worked perfectly today on 6 meters. The opening wasn't long in tooth, but this is the first time in a long while where 6 was open to Europe from New Mexico. A couple of XE stations were fairly loud too.

Yes, I know that. I remember the Squalo, and the "original" A144-11 and A144-7 etc. all had EXACTLY the same Redi-Match with that molded plastic capacitor. They all had the same one. CC updated that design to get rid of that silly thing, because in weather and sunlight exposure over time, they all failed. The "new" Redi-Match is better, and I'd use that one.
