YouTube put too much advertizing on this one. 1:30 is too much to sit through to watch a hamfest video. I haven't complained about their ads before as I appreciate the service and know they need to pay the bills. Their varied choices of ad format and timing has been acceptable up to now. But I think 1:30 of ad content is out of proportion to the import of this subject matter.

    Just one man's opinion.

You can usually "skip" the ads after 5 seconds, I just tried it and did
Can you read and follow directions?

I didn't see a trace of an ad.
My browser is Firefox with the ad eliminating plug-in.
I hit the play button, and instantly saw my favorite ham video producer, K1OIK.
    It made my day.

YouTube puts up random ads. Some ads have the 5 second bypass. Others you have to sit through. It all depends on what the advertiser paid for.

Do you know the terms of the service you are posting your videos to? I'm not sure that you understand.

    What he said.
"If someone tells you he believes in and talks to an invisible bunny named Harvey, you put him on medication and a regimen of therapy. If someone tells you he believes in and talks to God, well, that's perfectly acceptable. Why that's the case is impossible for me to fathom." - WP2XX

"He's dead, Jim. You take his Tricorder and I'll get his wallet."

"The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?"

You're right Burt. I guess the shock of seeing the 1:30 ad applied sent me running before the "Skip Ad" box appeared. When I checked again, there was a 15 second ad which was fine by me even without skipping it.
