Two more "uk" calls being used by scammers
I currently have a "Wanted" add posted here on QRZ.COM (5-12) AND I have received replies from two scammers using legitimate ham calls: G7LPP and G4YDO neither of which have anything to do with this scam. Different EMAIL addresses are being used by the con artists. When I asked each of them for pictures of the item I was looking for and a little more detail that was the last I heard from them. BEWARE!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm still new here and I surely wouldn't like to get scammed. I'm currently going through the other announcements and info from other members with regards to scammers. Thanks again. Will take note of those.

I too received a reply on QTH.COM from G4YDO using the email@yahoo.com. I emailed the real G4YDO through his email on QRZ and he confirmed it is a scam..

And yet another from UK. Don't deal with G0INQ, Chris. I talked with the real Chris Jones and this guy has used his call sign in a lot of crooked deals. Thought England had a better control than the US, but am wondering. I turned him into the FBI and FCC, but doubt if they do anything.

"Better control" of what?
Does it surprise you that someone is able to reply to an ad and say "I'm a ham and my callsign is G0INQ" ?
What could the UK or any other country possibly do to prevent this? The scammer may not even be in the UK.

I had a very similar experience with a G6FDS responding to a Wanted ad for a Wanzer Z match tuner, - also BEWARE. W6HJ
