    Lightbulb LIDO MOUNTS

Ok I should have really checked this company out. I purchased 2 mounts for my Wouxum HT. The first one lasted 2 days. I sent emails, I called I even returned the broken mount. And sent it UPS so I could confirm they received it, they did. That was in March. Today is 30-May-12. I have not received any confirmation that they have received my emails or phone messages and I have not received a replacement mount. I know it was 20.00 but I can't believe they won't even acknowledge my messages. Sad company. In the future i will spend my money elsewhere.

There have been a few reports similar to this. However, their mounts are now sold by AES and maybe HRO as well. I would buy from either of those. Problems seem to occur when you buy direct from Lido. I have one of their mounts and it works well.

Ditto, what W4PG said. I have had several Lido mounts, over the years, and have had MOSTLY good luck. That was because I bought them from AES, HRO, or My Radio Store .com. The ONE time I tried to buy, directly from Lido, there were problems, and resolving the issues, was difficult, at best. I ordered one thing, got another, and never did get that which I originally bought. I did, accidentally wind up, with (by their error) a more expensive unit, that happened to suit my needs, so I kept it, and kept my mouth shut, and just made use of it. I now, REFUSE to buy ANY of their products, due to their lack of customer service, but have found most of their stuff to be pretty high quality.
That, was their fault, as much as mine, because I should have dealt with AES. People I know, and can go back to them, if there is an issue. I should have read the horror stories here, and on other sites, which relate stories similar to your's. Nope, they lost a customer, because of their callous disregard for customer service. I would look into VSM, and even modify their mounts, to suit my needs, before I would ever buy another Lido mount, unless Lido, somehow gets bought out, by someone who recognizes the necessity for good customer service.

The very same thing happened to me when working direct with him wrong items no contact. Went to HRO and got items in 3 days the right ones.

HRO were out of stock for a specific mount, so I ordered on May 19 directly from Lido Mounts and paid using PayPal.
As per today, 09 Jun, nothing delivered.
No contacts, I sent them an email asking for order status and tracking number and the next day I received a USPS tracking number (SHIPPED ON 29 MAY,) which is "static" at the first row (Electronic Shipping Info Received).
No further information from them neither from USPS nor from other sources.
I paid 35 bucks plus S&S, I'll wait another week then claim the money back to PayPal/CreditCard.

Communication should be the core business of any company...

Just put in a fraud claim against Lido for not delivering a product I paid for. Sure wish I had Googled them before ordering. I'll be heading to HRO tomorrow to ask why they're carrying products from such a company.

You know, that might be a good tact to take. Get a bunch of us to tell HRO and AES and the like, that we will no longer buy Lido products, because of their cruddy reputation. Maybe AES, HRO, R&L, Texas Towers, Universal Radio, and such, can put some pressure on them, and get some change.
I doubt that it will work, as Lido seems to have their heads in a dark, tight and smelly place, but I am an eternal optimist, and typically always hope for the best.
