    Default Field Day 2012

I'll be at the Montrose Colorado ARC Field Day this year on AO-27 and SO-50 under the clubs call sign of K0IIT. Listen for me!

I'm sure the fm sats won't be busy at all...

Nah, why would anyone want to use those during Field Day?

I just wish people respected the request to get your one QSO and stay off to let others get theirs, yet every year I hear some people that get on multiple passes and hand out lots of field day contacts.

Oh geeze, I'll make ONE contact and that's it, just like last year. I can ONLY work the fm sats, I don't have the equipment to work the linear birds, and a vhf contact is worth extra points. Plus I use the fm sats as a demonstration. Thanks for the lecture.

I'll be running the satellite station for K6AA. We made 45 contacts last year, and 35 the year before.

Going to be mobile for Field Day this year. I'll be operating FM satellites right up until Friday evening of FD weekend then I will switch over to VO-52 and FO-29.

I may give the fm birds a try Friday before but im sure during field day it will be a mad house. If the guy with the portable set up shows up keep a ear out for us on the transponder birds under K3PT FM-29

I won't be working Field Day this year after all due to other obligations.

Our club's operation will be very small this year. We usually run 6A, but this year we'll probably be 2A!

Hmmm. Listen for W6RO. I may be able to get our act together to work a bird or two. THAT would be real "DX!"

I think I worked W6RO a couple of years ago.
Last weekend I had everything set up in the backyard to test it all, and I worked a guy in Huntington Beach. We probably could have gone direct on 2 Meter SSB, but then that wouldn't be any fun!
