The Heath HR-10B ("B" not "8") was a tube receiver. That is more likely the model.

Thought the same thing.
And the HR-10B wasn't much of a receiver.
The DX-60 was a better transmitter. I did try an HR-10B for a few months but bought an ancient NC-125 which was older than I was and it was a better performer.
